This is how it works.

• Call us and tell us what you need.
  
  
• I will send you some resumes that fit your situation.
• If you do not find a suitable match among these resumes, give me a call and I will send you additional choices.
  
  
• Once you have chosen your caregiver, you sign a Human Resources Development Canada contract of employment.
  
  
• At this point, our $895 service fee must be paid. We accept payment in cash, by certified cheque, by VISA, or by MasterCard. We also offer an extended payment plan of two equal payments of $447.50.
  
  
• We register you as the employer of your selected caregiver and obtain your tax number. We also complete the paperwork to set up your Revenue Canada account number. Revenue Canada will send you an information package.
  
  
• We will help you draft an employment contract which meets your needs and is fair to your caregiver.
  
  
• We prepare your caregiver for her new job, with an information package that includes your family schedule and information, favourite recipes and community details. We give your caregiver the help she needs to fit into your home and provide the support you need.
  
  
• We help your caregiver complete the paperwork to come to Canada. We also help prepare her for her interview with Immigration Canada. She will be nervous, so we provide support and reassurance.
  
  
• You will receive a confirmation letter from Revenue Canada once your account is activated. Please notify us by phone at 250-390-1736 or e-mail when this letter arrives.
  
  
• We will keep you advised of the immigration process during the three-to-six-month process required to bring a caregiver to Canada.
  

• When possible, we meet your caregiver when she arrives and arrange your initial meeting. We will also provide a welcome package for your caregiver.
  
  
• While she is in Canada, we provide ongoing support for your caregiver through our clubhouse, website, and information services. We are always available to answer questions and help resolve any issues.
